El primer concierto de Smile (Brian May, Roger Taylor, Tim Staffell) el 26 de octubre de 1968, fue en el Imperial College, como teloneros de Pink Floyd, que en aquellos momentos disfrutaban de un Top Ten con el tema de Syd Barret See Emily Play.
