1977 : Queen live on A Day At The Races Tour at
Dane County Coliseum, Madison, USA. [35 years]
1989 : BBC Radio 1 organised phone public
inquiry for best Queen song. Bohemian Rhapsody placed 1st, A Kind Of Magic 2nd
and I Want To Break Free 3rd. It was the biggest phone public inquiry ever
organised by BBC. [23 years]
1991 : Innuendo (with Bijou on b-side) was
released as 37th Queen single in the UK. US Hollywood Records, feared that song
with length over 6 minutes wouldn't been played by the radio stations, chose
Headlong for their release for the next day. Innuendo in UK hit first place in
the charts almost immediately and it was also third Queen song, which reached
no. 1 (together with Bohemian Rhapsody and Under Pressure). But week later
Innuendo was uncrowned by Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter by Iron Maiden.
Excellent animated videoclip was made for Innuendo, even with no new shoots of
the band. Due to Persian Gulf war first version of the video with war scenes
had to be 'censured' and replaced with different scenes in the middle. [21
years]
