at Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, Los Angeles, USA. [36 years]
1979 : Queen released a single Don't Stop Me
Now in Japan. [33 years]
1979 : In Montreux, Switzerland, Queen were
recording original soundtrack for Flash Gordon directed by Mike Hodges. Album
was released in 1980. [33 years]
1981 : The President of the Velez Sarfield
Stadium held a party for the band at his home. They met Maradonna and were
introduced to General Viola, the the President Designate of Argentina. Their
shows were considered a cultural event and the President wanted to meet them.
Roger declined and didn't attend. [31 years]
1981 : Queen were on holiday in Rio, Brazil for
a few days after the Buenos Aires gigs. [31 years]
1991 : I'm Going Slightly Mad single entered UK
charts on 24th place. Mostly black and white video was filmed by Hannes
Rossacher and Rudi Dolezal according to Freddie's ideas and is definitely
visually the most interesting videoclip of Queen. [21 years]
1992 : Hollywood Records released Classic Queen
compilation in USA. Almost identical to Greatest Hits II released in UK. [20
years]
2000 : Queen received 6x platinum, 7x platinum
and 8x platinum awards for Greatest Hits II sales in the UK. [12 years]
2003 : Brian and Roger arrived in Melbourne,
Australia, to announce the launch of the We Will Rock You musical. [9 years]
2006 : Queen+PR live on Queen + Paul Rodgers
Tour at Digital Credit Union Center, Worcester, USA. [6 years]
