1977 : Queen live performing 2nd
show at Earls Court, London, UK. It was the final night of A Day At The Races
Tour. The show featured the famous Crown lighting rig which weighed 5,000 lbs,
was 54ft. wide and 26ft. tall and cost the band 50,000 Pounds. The concert
coincided with Her Majesty The Queen's Silver Jubilee and proceeds from the
concert were donated to HM Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Fund. There were
entertainers in the foyer of the hall and pipers in the main arena before the
concerts started. 5,000 red,white and blue balloons were dropped onto the
audience. Both nights were filmed. [35 years]
1977 : Queen released Long Away -
the only single to date to feature Brian on lead vocals throughout. [35 years]
1982 : Queen received platinum
award for Sheer Heart Attack sales in the UK. [30 years]
1986 : Queen live performing
first show of the Magic Tour at Rasunda Football Stadium, Stockholm, Sweden.
Anti-apartheid demonstrators staged an angry protest against the band for playing
in South Africa, but it was a small demo and the gig went ahead with no
trouble. [26 years]
1990 : The Cross live at PC 69
Club, Bielefeld, Germany. [22 years]
1991 : Brian appeared on the Los
Angeles VH1 show My Generation Special [21 years]
1993 : Brian released 5th single
Resurrection together with special gold edition CD with Back To The Light in
the UK. [19 years]
1998 : Another World entered UK
album chart at no. 28. [14 years]
